Hurricane Erin

Elevated wave activity from Hurricane Erin was measured at CDIP stations along the East Coast last week. Peak periods were longer than usual for tropical storms in the Atlantic Ocean, due to Erin’s extraordinary size, which added to the power of the waves that impacted the shoreline. Attached bulletin is a summary of the complete data set available at cdip.ucsd.edu Credit to our station partners in the region, including CORMP/UNCW and CSI/ECU.
